With 40yrs experience we offer a quiet & relaxed atmosphere for you to enjoy your horse as well as a caring & loving environment for your retired equine.

Dragonfly Stable is a privately owned and operated full care boarding facility located approximately 35 minutes east of Sault Ste. Marie Ontario.

We are a non-competitive barn that caters to the needs of you and your horse/pony in a friendly, quiet, and relaxed atmosphere.

As well we also offer a compassionate caring environment for your senior, retired horse/pony and a final resting place if the time should come.

*Pony Rides

We are pleased to now be offering pony rides for the youngsters.
Approved safety helmets are supplied and mandatory in order to ride on the ponies and ride in the cart.
All ponies are lead by an experienced handler at a walk only.
Our ponies are well cared for and their comfort and safety is of the utmost importance to us as well as your child having a safe and enjoyable first experience.

Appointments are not necessary but they are appreciated.

* $5.00 for 2 trips around the riding ring.
* $10.00 for 2 trips around the riding ring and small trail ride.
* $10.00 for one child in the pony cart.
* $15.00 for two children in the pony cart.


*Children s Birthday Parties or Special Events

Beginner child/adult for both English & Western.

Private lessons only

*Feeding

We feed only Purina Products that are balanced and mixed for your horses individual nutritional requirements.
We take great pride in sourcing only the highest quality horse hay (square, rounds, high moisture rounds) for your equine partner. During the colder months High Moisture hay is provided outside.

*Boarding

Indoor Board: $350. per month.

-12’ x 12’ box stall (bedding included)
-Unlimited high quality hay
-Grained 2x daily (dry or soaked your preference)
-All day turn out on grass paddock in compatible groups of 2-3


Outside Board: $300. per month.

-Shelter
-Unlimited high quality hay
-Grained 2x daily (dry or soaked your preference)
-Coupled into compatible groups of 2-3 on grass paddock




Some Of the Extras That Are Included In Your Board


-Putting on and taking off of blankets

-Handling for Vet/Farrier if you are unavailable (you are responsible for payment of Vet/Farrier)

-Administering Wormer if you are unavailable and horse is co-operative (you supply wormer)

-During inclement weather your horse will be brought or kept inside and the stall will be cleaned throughout the day.

-Applying fly spray when needed.

As was stated earlier we are a compassionate and caring facility, therefore we understand that sometimes you are not able to come out on a regular basis and spend time with your equine partner. This is why we make sure your horse is loved and cared for when life gets busy for you.

Dragonfly Stable is in the process of putting in 3 new paddocks along with shelters to make your horses stay with us more comfortable.

As well we are planning to put in a special area for ponies that will eventually include their own barn with attached shelter as well as an area for them to have limited grazing time if required.
