Drobot Counselling

Parent Consultations:
We, Patti Drobot (Vancouver) and Colleen Drobot (North Vancouver), are registered professional counsellors who offer parent consultations for parents by phone/skype or in person at our offices. We work with parents of children from toddlers to adulthood.

Based on the theories and approach of Dr. Gordon Neufeld, we help make sense of a child’s behaviour and how parents can not only understand the behaviour from a developmental perspective, but how the parent can provide what the child needs. This approach is rooted in developmental theory—the theory that children learn, thrive, and reach their full human potential through secure, unconditional relationships with their parents and/or the adults who care for them. We support parents who are dealing with their children’s challenging, troubling, or confusing behaviour, and help them find ways to preserve their relationship with their children despite their struggles.

Presentations:
We also present to parents and professionals on child development and parenting issues. Our presentations are based on the theory and approach of Dr. Gordon Neufeld.

Individual Counselling:
We also offer therapeutic counselling for adults and teens. We support people dealing with anxiety, grief and loss, separation and divorce, depression, existential crisis, life transitions, family of origin work, individuation.
