ElderDog PEI's mandate is to help senior people and dogs.

Senior People:
Many seniors have dogs as companions. Through the aging process, many seniors find it hard to keep up with the needs of their dogs. ElderDog has volunteers across the Island who will help seniors by bringing their dogs to vet appointments, helping to grooming, clip nails, walk, or feed, on short and long term basis, as required. If a senior should be hospitalized or need to leave their home for any reason, ElderDog PEI will help find loving homes for their furry friend.

Additionally, ElderDog PEI helps senior dogs. Often older dogs (8+ years) find themselves in need of a new home. It can be tough since many people think a puppy is what they want. ElderDog PEI spreads awareness of the benefits of adopting an older dog, as well as help in the re-homing process.
