After years of working in healthcare, I decided to spend more time with my three very active children and pursue my love of reading. Some of my book reviews caught the eye of a couple of self-published authors, and I was asked to beta read and edit their work. From there, I have gone on to edit other works of fiction, from YA to epic fantasy, by other self-publishers. After polishing my skills with editing courses at mediabistro.com, Sound Copy Editing was born. I have also edited research articles published in professional journals as well as Master's theses and Ph.D. dissertations.

With my passion for reading, I continue to write book reviews but on a more limited basis. Fantasy-Faction.com now receives most of my formal reviews.
