here are so many noble organizations that have dedicated their abilities to these types of projects and we are excited to be allowed to work with some of them and be given an opportunity to serve our fellow men and women with love and dignity.


Sufi Meditation Center is responsible for:

Setting the menu
Purchasing food and supplies
Coming on site and preparing meals for over 150 people
Serving meals and refreshments
Cleaning the service area and dishes

We also help collect clothing and other basic necessities for distribution to those less fortunate during these food program events.

Currently SMC hosts a luncheon the third or fourth Sunday of every month at the Community Lounge on 528 Powell St., Vancouver’s downtown east side, which is considered Canada’s poorest community. Each month, around 10 SMC volunteers prepare enough food to serve around 150 meals. However, it can only succeed with financial and material support of people like you. All donations go to purchasing the food and supplies for each of our events. We can prepare a nutritious and filling meal for someone in need for less than the cost of a small cup of coffee.
