Now in its 4th year, The Frankie Tomatto's Restaurant Innovation Award has served as a platform with cash awards and other benefits, for Ontario college and university hospitality students creating original innovative ideas and concepts for the restaurant industry.
Hal Roback, owner of Frankie Tomatto's, located in Markham Ontario, wished to provide a venue and a path for students to bring their ideas and concepts to industry professionals and potentially to reality. The ideas and or concepts must be innovative and can be based on technology, food and beverage items, new innovative equipment, management tools, new business models, and concepts.
