Frontier Music Mission Statement

Music is an ever evolving part of culture. With an increasingly connected world, the diversity of musical influence and experience has grown dramatically. Never has there been a time where music could be accessed and shared so easily. At Frontier Music, we thrive in this environment of exploration, and we strive to encourage our students to approach music with open minds and curiosity. We offer private lessons in piano, voice, guitar, violin, cello, drums and bass, as well as instruction with ensembles, and recording/production.

Recording at Frontier Music

In this new world of music, we've seen an explosion of opportunity to record and showcase talent worldwide. As such, Frontier Music has a significant recording and production wing. Many vital lessons are learned by incorporating recording into our student's curriculum, such as enhanced self awareness and an understanding of how music is woks. In addition, Frontier Music provides studio recording time and production development for local artists.

Ensembles at Frontier Music

Music has always drawn people together. Some of the most magical moments that people share are those between musicians jamming, where everything clicks and you feel as if you're reading each other's minds. Frontier Music's ensemble instruction is aimed at harnessing the power of those moments, and emphasizes the importance of communication and team work.

Claryssa Webb is a WLU music student and an accomplished performer and artist. She began matching pitch before she could talk, and so started lessons at the age of 3. She grew up playing with her dad and brother in their family band, Webb Surround, in and around Sault Ste Marie. She has her grade 9 voice, grade 9 violin, grade 8 cello, and grade 8 piano, all with honers from The Royal Conservatory of music, and has also been awarded the C.L.A. Now at her new home in KW, she continues to be drawn to the stage performing with A New Ground, The Short Films, and John Orpheus among others, as well as the studio lending her talents to many recording sessions.
