More about Ghost Division Historical Research

The purpose of this company is to do WWII battlefield research in Europe, conducting interviews with WWII veterans, and to write books/articles about WWII.

We also have the SS Dienstaltersliste from November 1944 available for identification of SS officers, a list of all abbreviations for German dog tags from WWII, and a list of all German ordinance codes of WWII. We also provide identification of RZM maker marks for SA-NSKK-SS daggers. We also authenticate SA-NSKK-SS daggers however we don't provide a COA. These services are for free as this is a hobby and not a business!

About the owner:

Gerry is a Canadian author and historian and owner of Ghost Division Historical Research. Gerry authored several books about the Waffen SS and the Wehrmacht in general

Gerry has been collecting militaria since the age of 14 and he has been interested in history since childhood. For many years he has been studying the actions of foreign volunteer formations of the Waffen SS, which were involved in bloody battles in the different stages of WWII. His fascination arose when he realized how much influence these small but extremely valiant and brave troops had on the fate of the fronts, on which they had to fight. They fought hard even though the cause for which they shed blood was practically lost. Through contact with many authors, historians, and war veterans he has access to little known archives, both of memoirs and of photographic material. In his publications, he tries not to repeat the well-known facts, but each time to bring closer and reveal to readers the mysteries and curiosities that are the symbols of the tragic times of the greatest existing armed conflict, which for many has become a mythical Twilight of Gods. He writes from a desire to tell stories. He believes that reading should primarily be a pleasure. If a story supposes to be boring, better not to show it to the world at all.

Gerry has an extended library of WWII related books at home and he is a member of several WWII research groups. Gerry is a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgraeberfuersorge.

This is a non-political research company; we do not support the ideologies of the 3rd Reich!
