Gifts of the Universe - Signs of all Kinds

Our business, Gifts of the Universe, has served many different aspects in the past 9 years.

Back in 1999, Nicole started on a personal spiritual quest. She had always strongly believed that there is much more out there to help us heal our stress, physical and emotional symptoms other then medicine. She has since then taken many different workshops, received the Master Reiki certificate, healed through past life regressions and much more. When the time felt right, Nicole strongly got the message to start sharing with others her knowledge, passion, healing and teaching. While trying to think of a business name, she was chatting with Christine and friends about how the universe has all the tools to offer us for our own personal healing at all levels, and she blurted out, “they are truly special gifts” - Gifts of the Universe” – and the name has been with us since 2005.

In 2008, while visiting Chapters Book store, Christine came upon a book, How to start your own gift basket business. She immediately felt the passion and calling for creating gift baskets, what better way to express love an appreciation to others, through a special gift. It also allowed us to share are positive energy while preparing the baskets and then the recipient receiving this energy through the donor.
In January 2013, after doing the business for 5 years, they decided to take a one year break and see what there next step would be. They meditated on this, let go, and let the answer come to them. In February 2014 Nicole found her next move and passion.

That February, while renovating the basement, it brought out of Nicole her passion for wood. She has always like the creative side of things, but never considered herself good enough. She decided to put up lots of shelving in the basement, got her own workshop set-up to work on projects. She got so excited that she bought herself tools as she needed them: table saw, scroll saw, jig saw, router, etc… She made a few bird houses for the grand kids, a pencil holder and then some. While doing all this creation, it brought out of her all of the joy and excitement and would totally forget that the world existed. It became the best stress reliever technique she has ever found.

As some of you that knows of Nicole, when she gets a passion about something, learning new things, she becomes a little child, she get very excited and passionate and wants to learn and do everything all at once. This is where Christine needs to come in and help her balance things out, lololol. At this point, she decided that she could not keep her new talent and ideas all to herself and would never have enough room in the house to keep all that she makes and what’s on her to do list.

This brought her to say to Christine, hey, I have figured out our next business idea, “Gifts of the Universe – Signs of all Kinds”. Of course, it starts with signs but her idea is to graduate to wood carving, building furniture, and much more. The possibilities are endless.

Gifts of the Universe as many unique functions – because, whether it be spiritual, gifts baskets, signs, furniture, all these gifts and talents are truly a Gifts of the Universe.
