Good As New Thrift Store

Good As New is a charity thrift store located in Houlton, Maine. Our mission is to serve the community with excellent quality necessities. Our prices are consistently lower than most resale shops We can do this only because we have a group of dedicated volunteers. 100% of our proceeds go directly back into the greater Houlton community for those in need.

Since 2014 volunteers have worked with contacts and variety of sources in southern Maine and Massachusetts for high quality items with which to supplement the stock of the store. We continue to receive excellent donations from our community as well. These sources have increased the donations tremendously. The store has been updated and organized over the past year to make the shopping experience easy and pleasant. The dedicated and creative volunteers assemble attractive and inspiring displays.

Shopping at Good As New offers the community an opportunity to find things that would otherwise be costly and require travel. The store carries a large quantity and variety of clothing, accessories and shoes for men, women and children. developmental toys and baby equipment are also received regularly. Books, DVD’s and CD’s donations have increased too. It also is well stocked in linens and bedding,home decor, kitchenware, fabrics. and household items
