Huron Physical Arts Center

Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Port Huron, the Huron Physical Arts Center is home to the Blue Water Area’s most successful gymnastics and dance training facility since 1993.

What was once an historic movie theatre, built in 1929 (The Desmond Theatre and in later years The Huron Theatre), for the past 21 years has been the fun place to be for thousands of boys and girls learning the sport of gymnastics and competitive dance.

Opening March 1993, this beautiful, architecturally restored theatre is the home of the area’s first premiere state-of-the-art gymnastics facility, producing State, Regional and National gymnastic and dance team champions of all ages.

We provide year-round programs for boys and girls ages 1 year and up, offering beginner, intermediate and advanced gymnastic and competitive dance training.

In addition to our recreational programs we offer boys and girls competitive gymnastics teams (The Hurricanes) and competitive dance teams (The Starlites). Birthday parties and field trips are also available. We welcome you to come and see for yourself how fun and fitness go together like “peanut butter and jelly!”
