I grew up loving to take things apart and building models. I would spend hours assembling toys and learning how they worked. I'm still kinda doing that same thing today! Except now I repair Motorcycles ,ATVs, Marine and all types of small engines. I'm 56 and still loving the challenge to repair that broken "TOY" The difference now is these toys could be over thirty thousand dollars and not mine. After graduating from University I quickly realized I wanted to work for myself and not glued to some office desk. The family business needed a mechanic and for twenty odd years I wrenched in the basement on all types of recreational products from snowmobiles to PWCs, motorcycles, ATVS, marine, small engines and generators. The shop was busy selling the Full Line of Honda Products, Arctic Cat, Johnson/Evinrude and Husqvarna. The advantage being involved with these manufacturers were the great service schools and "inside" information on serving. I attended all the training seminars and become an OMC Master Service Tech, Tiger Shark/Arctic Cat Master Tech and well as a Fully credited Honda Technician. Those were days all the courses were hands on and the Service Reps knew their stuff and were eager to share. I loved learning this way and at every opportunity I attended the schools even after taking the reins of the family business. I watched over the years many mechanics become outdated and that is something I didn't want to happen. Even today I'm constantly keeping abreast of the latest products and service information. Back in 2008 when Honda decided to close dealerships across Canada and setup Power Centers I wanted to part of this new trend. I quickly learned working for someone else and seeing the direction these Powerhouses were going wasn't for me. And frankly it has become the biggest failure in the Recreational Industry and some predict Honda will never return to their Number One position in the marketplace. So here I am back doing what I love and feel free to pop in and have a chat!
