Ichabod

The purpose of this site is broadly to present the Person and the Work of The Lord Jesus Christ, and through that understanding to speak about Israel, the Church and Islam. This is both to speak of teachings and meanings, by way of a comparative presentation of these three. Let the reader judge for themselves where truth can be found.

Israel is a people who by faith are said to be Jews. I am also speaking about Israel according to the flesh. Clearly those who believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, by faith, according to the promise of God, may not all be biological Jews. Therefore I am speaking about Judaism.

In speaking about the Church, I am speaking about a people who are born again of the Spirit of God by a gift of faith to believe into Christ Jesus according to the promise of God made to Abraham, and revealed by the Law and the Prophets, and finally by Christ Himself. I am not speaking about nations of men and women according to the flesh. I am speaking about whosoever is renewed in spirit. Therefore I am speaking about the body of Christ.

In speaking about Islam I am speaking about those who have taken the Qur'an and its teachings, both Shari'ah, Sunnah and Hadith to be true, and have therefore made a conscious decision to obey Allah and his Prophet according to the teachings of the Qur'an. I am not speaking about men and women who are born of the nations according to the flesh, who because of their father are said to be muslims by birth.

There is no other purpose for Ichabod herein. Let no man make one where there is none. Hateful and wilful speech will not be tolerated. Claims to spiritual realities ought to be qualified by Scripture. Personal opinions beyond an agreement to another qualified post is unacceptable unless it is stated clearly as a personal opinion.
