More about The Thriving Vegetarian - Jennifer Elder RMT and Fitness Coach

I became a BeachBody coach at the end of May, and it was one of the best decisions I made. Was I a little scared to become a coach? Nope.

Now, a year and a half ago I wanted NOTHING to do with beachbody, and was asked numerous times to be a coach. But, I wasn’t just going to jump into something and do it to make some money potentially. I didn’t know anything really about beachbody besides doing P90x 10 years ago, and I couldn't even finish it. Lol. Will not be doing that program again, too tough for me!

But i bumped into an old coworker who looked fitter and happier than ever and she introduced me to the Beachbody opportunity. I am grateful everyday for the tools these programs have given me and my family. Message me if your interested in starting your own journey and want some direction and support.

I was so lost, and it was my lifesaver. I could do the workouts at home each day before my kids wake up, and it was just what I needed.

The shakeology was another part that WAS key, as I was very stressed and sometimes was slacking on my nutrition somedays due to being too tired or busy to make a good meal. Or just being lazy, I will admit it.

Shakeo is the BEST meal of the day for me, and I can count on it for a healthy meal when I am busy or too tired to put effort into one. Let’s face it, we all get busy and I am happy that I have a quick and nutritious meal I can count on when those busy times happen. I typically have it for breakfast, but if I know I am going to have a crazy day, I have it for lunch some days! My digestive system on point, lol! Don’t need to really explain, but I am never constipated. Whey proteins I have tried, gotta admit, they would back me up sometimes.

My hair and skin have never been healthier, and my stylist has even said she has NEVER seen my hair so healthy.

I AM NOT writing this post to SELL beachbody to anyone, I am writing it because this is my blog, and I have integrity, and I want people to know that this is WHY I am a coach. Besides these things, I am a coach because I want to help people, and I have been helping SO many since I have become a coach.

As for my other passion Massage Therapy,
I have 11 years of clinical experience. I run a home based professional registered massage clinic. I previously worked at a very busy massage office and found it was missing that client care and concern aspect that I have time to give from my home based business.

I graduated from the Darcy Lane Institute of massage therapy in May 2006. My training consisted of 2 years of intensive study of anatomy, pathology, physiology, clinical practice, orthopedic assessment and massage techniques such as trigger point therapy, fascial release, hydrotherapy and sports injury massage. Areas of interest include myofascial release, injuries/accidents, headaches, prenatal massage and postural concerns. My focus is to help patients through assessment and treatment, along with preventative and rehabilitative goals. After experiencing a lower back injury in my twenties and being told by doctors that it was pain I would have to learn to live with made me seek out alternative therapeutic avenues which did not include the typical pain medications. I refused to succumb to this and I found the catalyst for beginning my career as a massage therapist.

I am committed to my profession and I have experience in a broad range of pathologies, including rotator cuff problems, sciatic nerve issues, neck pain, hip imbalances, headaches, stress-related issues and pregnancy massage. I mostly use deep tissue release techniques, myofascial, joint mobilizations. The main focus of my practice is on rehabilitative massage therapy but I also have experience in therapeutic exercise, sports injury massage and relaxation massage. I have also taken advanced training for Myofascial release, Ultrasound and Hot Stone Massage.

Fitness and Massage Therapy really go well together.
