Beth Shermoen is a Elementary School Principal in Duluth, Minnesota. She graduated from Bemidji State University, Summa Cum Laude, in Elementary Education with a specialty in communication and literature. Beth is, also, a certified Senior Business Management Professional. She holds a Master’s in K-12 Instruction, with Principal/Superintendent Licensure. Her plans include her work to complete the Doctorate of Education in the near future at Bethel University.

Her professional interests include: the responsive classroom, restorative justice, PBIS, assessments, strength based instruction and learning, differentiated instruction, RTI, literacy programs in the classroom, and engaging the heart of learning model for each student and classroom. Beth is also a nationwide certified Anti-Bullying Trainer and Mediator.

Beth and her husband, Jerrod enjoy time on Rainy Lake and Lake Superior with their two children, Jeffrey and Maria.

She created JJEM Consulting in celebration of her children and nephews, who inspire her every day, Jeffrey, Jonah, Evan and Maria.
