Body Sugaring is an all-natural ancient art of body hair removal. J's Sugar Studio caries Sugar of the Nile products.
Unlike Wax, Sugar is made of water, sugar and lemon. It is non-allergenic and safe to use on men, women and children. It is gentle to the skin that it can be applied to any body part or skin type.
It also leaves your skin smooth and silky as the sugar also exfoliates your skin.

So WHY Sugar?

1.) It's simply Natural -- forget about wax that has lots of chemicals, leaving your skin extremely irritated
2.) It's less painful -- sugar only attaches to the unwanted hair and dead skin cells, so no nasty burns or skin tearing. The sugar will leave you with nice smooth, exfoliated skin!
3.) It's less breakage and irritation -- sugar removes hair by the direction of hair growth therefore it's less overall pain, less breakage and irritation!

PRE-APPOINTMENT:

-- Hair needs to be at least ¼ inch long before it can be successfully removed by sugaring.

- Do not apply any facial or body creams or deodorants to area to be sugared the day of your treatment. This may cause the removal of hair to be more difficult

- If you are doing a Bikini or Brazilian we recommend you to wear cotton underwear, or bring a white cotton underwear

-If you are sugaring your back or chest we recommend you bring a white cotton shirt

-We recommend timing your appointments with your cycle, as you may be more sensitive at this time

-Avoid direct heat such as hot baths, or sun tanning the day of your treatment

**Please do not shave between your appointments**
Topical numbing creams (if needed) are available from any pharmacist over the counter (example: Emla cream)


POST-CARE:

--Slight soreness, small bumps and redness etc are common and perfectly normal temporary reactions, especially if this is your first treatment. These symptoms subside over the next 24-48 hours. Some clients with very sensitive skin may feel warm and itchy after a sugar treatment. COOL Compress is highly recommended.

--Keep the sugared area clean, and avoid heat and friction during the next 24-48 hours after your service

-- Do not work out after sugaring, excessive perspiration can harbor bacteria that can cause skin breakouts because of the open pores from the hair removal service

--The freshly treated area should not be touched as the oils and dirt from the hands can cause irritation (especially on the face)

-- Prevention of ingrown hairs: a few days after your appointment, gently scrub the skin 3 times a week in the bath or shower using a loofah or exfoliating mitt.

-- Moisturize the area every day, which will keep the skin supple and help new hairs to grow through normally.
You may notice a small amount of regrowth after a week or so.

NOTE: It can take up to 4 treatments for your hair to get on a growth cycle that gives best results.
