K9 O'Hana

Hi there,

My name is Hana Niemi. I am a Certified Obedience Instructor in Terrace B.C. I specialize in polite leash manners and training dogs to be successful in family environments.

While training I encourage all family members who will be living within close proximity to the dog to attend either private lessons or group classes. This ensures that the training that the dog receives is consistent from everyone.

I started training June 2015 after completing my Obedience Trainer and Kennel Management Certificate at Canada West Canine Center in Salmon Arm B.C.
March 2017 I also completed an Advanced K9 Handler course at Obedience Plus in Maple Ridge.

My other experience with canines includes three years working as the weekend kennel attendant at the Thornhill Animal Shelter, six months as an apprentice groomer, one and a half years as a volunteer and Unit Facilitator for the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program.

I currently have two dogs of my own, Lilo a 12 year old yorkshire terrier poodle mix, and Ronda a 1.5 Year old lab/retriever/pitbull mix, who has become my training partner.
