Kellie Maxwell, O.T. Reg. (MB), M.O.T. offers private pediatric Occupational Therapy services in the Interlake region. Services will come to YOU, whether at home or at school, and will provide support to children and youth (0-18) and their families/caregivers who may be struggling with various life tasks due to developmental, physical, mental, social, emotional, or behavioural barriers. Positive learning experiences will be provided to help children and youth to succeed to their highest potential, both at home and in school.

What is Occupational Therapy (OT)?
OT provides assessment and intervention to support and empower clients to grow and develop skills that are important or necessary but may be difficult due to a variety of reasons.

Mission: To support children and youth in gaining skills, confidence, and independence in a positive environment where they can learn to manage difficulties and master skills they need or want to do to the best of their ability. As well, to educate and empower parents to be active participants in their child's growth and success.

Vision: Preventative and ongoing support and care for children and their parents to foster positive experiences and relationships at school, home, and going forward in life.

Services include the following:
- Early Childhood (Pre-School) Developmental Screening and consultation for parents. Follow-up intervention available if required.
- Individual assessment and Intervention for a variety of difficulties including but not exclusive to: Autism, ADHD, Sensory Difficulties, Genetic Disorders, FASD, Behavioural Difficulties, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Learning Disabilities, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, Fine Motor Difficulties, Anxiety, Social Difficulties, Self-Care and Eating Difficulties, Developmental Delays from infancy to early childhood, onward.
- Group Therapy (as numbers and interest allow) for fine motor skills, handwriting, and sensory or emotional regulation.

Services available to Stonewall and the surrounding communities in a 1 hour radius including Warren, Woodlands, St. Laurent, Lundar, Marquette, Gross Isle, Balmoral, Gunton, Teulon, Gimli, Winnipeg Beach, Selkirk, St. Andrews, Birds Hill, Petersfield, Clandeboye. Biography: Kellie Maxwell is an Occupational Therapist. She provided respite care in the Interlake while doing her undergrad and completed her Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy at the University of Manitoba in 2013. She has since, worked with children and youth in a variety of contexts, including home, school, and hospital based care, including mental health and counselling. She is a mother to her daughter and step-son, loves working with children, seeing smiles as they learn and grow, and is passionate about helping families to have positive experiences and success.

Rates:
$100/hour for assessment, intervention, & report work. Taxes not included.
Travel costs may apply at half the above rate plus mileage depending on location.
Hours and appointment times will vary and are flexible.
