Hello there! I'm using Katherine Howard Rose as my pen name, inspired by Katherine Howard (Tudor). This is shortened to KHRArts for my artworks.

My artwork is largely inspired by Japanese art, history, and culture. I studied art extensively during my schooling. I am trained in fine arts and digital arts. I run the gambit with acrylic paintings, illustrations, and digital drawing. I also do watercolours, but these take an immense amount of time and effort.

I have always enjoyed creating, and feel comfortable in a variety of mediums. Being creative is my escape. Painting has always been akin to meditation for me. I love nothing more than seeing the thoughts materialize onto the canvas.

I prefer to write stories with happy endings, since life is tragic enough as it is. Though I do enjoy experimentation, and a sad ending is entirely possible.

I've been writing constantly on a serious level since I was twelve. I love to pull my readers into my head and show them all the things I imagine, beautiful and terrifying. I am always looking to improve my craft and hope someday to get one of my novels published, but baby steps for now! When I latch onto a story, I often like to see it all the way through to the end before starting on a new idea. Although I am known to simultaneously write several stories at once. My stories are completed in my free time, I work several freelance jobs and have a permanent position as well. So this sometimes causes delays in continuing stories. I beg your pardon when this happens.

I learned British English and French at a young age, so sometimes my spelling or vocabulary is a little weird. I also have synesthesia, so I sometimes use words in unconventional ways. What this means is there are certain words that "smell good" to me, as well as words that are "delicious." I'm also known to make up words to suit my purpose.

Please Note! I do not believe in censorship, the only thing that should limit your writing are your skills and vocabulary. Due to this, not all my stories and themes will be everyone's cup of tea. If you are offended by themes or scenes in my stories please cease reading and find something else more your speed.
