King Me Boardgamery and Cafe

King Me Boardgamery & Cafe came about as several friends who loved board and card games got together with a friend who was doing an MBA and wanted to open a cafe. These Saskatonians knew that the Paris of Prairies needed a board game cafe. This hybrid form--a welcoming venue for playing games-- already existed in every large city in North America and other countries. So why not here? Was there a board gaming culture in Saskatoon? Yes. Were there a few good board game stores already? Yes. A wonderful refurbished building on 20th Street was the place and now was time.
