Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a healing technique based on the principle that a practitioner can channel energy into a client by means of light touch. This channeled energy activates the natural healing processes of the client's body, which in turn releases stress and restores physical, mental and emotional well-being.
Our bodies have an energy field that is central to our health and proper functioning, much like our blood. This energy can become blocked or weakened, as can our arteries. When a blockage occurs we are more likely to get sick, feel stress, anxiety, and become emotionally unbalanced. Reiki practitioners are trained to detect and alleviate these problems of energy flow on the physical, emotional, and mental levels. The intention is to create deep relaxation, to help speed the bodies natural healing processes, reduce pain, and decrease many other symptoms a client may be experiencing.
The many benefits of Reiki include:
•reduction of stress, anxiety, insomnia, and depression
•improvements in sleep
•enhanced immune system
•pain management (chronic pain, migraines, etc)
•assists with healing injuries (pre and post surgery)
•reduction of side effects of medications and invasive medical treatments such as radiation or chemotherapy
•greater ease in breathing
•improved digestive functions
•clearer focus and thinking
•support in recovery from addictions
•enhancement of self-esteem, self-acceptance and self-awareness
•increased satisfaction in relationships
Intuitive (psychic) messages are discussed at the end of the treatment to promote further healing on a practical level.
