FAQ’s

What is the cost per stay?

Packages are available to fit the needs of your canine companion. The Bronze Plan is $32.50 which includes the suite, dry dog food and a toy. The Silver Plan is $45.00 and that offers the suite, gourmet food, a toy, and a walk. The Gold Plan is $75.00 and includes the suite, 2 walks, gourmet food, land/h20 retrieving sessions(30 minutes), and a signature practice toy. There are other add-ons available as well.

What vaccinations does my dog need?

We require proof that all dogs are current on Bordetella (kennel cough), rabies, and distemper. Please bring or email a copy of the vaccination records that show dates.

Do I have to bring food for my dogs stay?

You are not required to bring your own food to the kennel. We do supply dry and gourmet dog food for our canine guests that is included in our packages(Dry or Gourmet). If your dog has special dietary needs we suggest that you bring enough of their own dog food for their stay.

My dog has a favorite bed and toy. Can I bring them?

Of course! We want your dog to be as comfortable as possible, so if you prefer to bring their own bed or toy from home we will allow that. If you do not wish to bring theirs from home we do have a bed and toy in their kennel. There are also blankets available upon request.

Will my dog be allowed to interact with other dogs?

No. For the safety of all dogs being boarded there will only be individual interaction and play time with each pet. If you are boarding two dogs they will be allowed to interact with one another since they are already familiar.

I just can’t make it during regular hours, can you help?

For an extra charge of $5.00 we can make appointments to arrange a late pick up or drop off for your canine companion. The regular price for a pick up/drop off is $25.00 no matter how many dogs you are boarding with us, the regular hours are from 6:00am-8:00pm.

Do you have a form that I can print and complete before dropping my pet off?

Yes, we can email you a copy of our registration form to complete before arrival.

Where is your facility located?

Lake of the Woods Kennel Co is located just 1 mile off of county road 11 between Baudette and Williams Minnesota on county road 4. Signs will be posted to help with locating.


Is there a discount for extended stays?

There is a discount we provide that offers if your dog boards 6 nights you will get the 7th night free.
