Lanark County

Lanark County Council is made up by two representatives from each of the eight local municipalities within the county. It employs almost 400 people and administers an annual gross budget of $78.6 million. All County services are divided amongst four standing committees: Community Services, Corporate Services, Economic Development and Public Works. There are also sub-committees and working groups to work through specific issues. Some of the County’s services include social services (Ontario Works, child care), long-term care, public works (roads and bridges), land ambulance, economic development, tourism, planning approvals and trails.
