I am currently working out of LifeMark Health Institute, which is a chronic pain rehabilitation clinic in the Meadowlark Health Centre. I work with physicians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and other allied health professionals as part of an interdisciplinary team.
My primary area of focus is working with individuals who are seeking to return to function following an injury or health concern (ie. chronic pain, car accident, workplace injury, depression/anxiety, PTSD, etc). I can assist with managing both physical and emotional/mental parts of an illness or injury, and help an individual improve their quality of life and potentially return to work. I also have experience in smoking cessation, as I was an Instructor for QuitCore, a provincial quit smoking program run by Alberta Health Services.
In addition to health psychology, I can help with coping with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, grief/loss, relationship/marriage issues and many other concerns. I also have experience with personality typing, particularly the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory.
I practice primarily from a cognitive-behavioral perspective, incorporating solution-focused and other techniques based on the needs of each individual client.
