Little Black Fish Childcare

The Little Black Fish has selected the BC Ministry of Education’s “Early Learning Framework” as its pedagogical guide. Based on the ever-evolving interests of children, we ensure that The Little Black Fish’s emergent curriculum for each age group covers 4 areas:
1. Well-being and Belonging
2. Exploration and Creativity
3. Language and Literacy
4. Social Responsibility and Diversity

Our activities and projects are developed by teachers observing the interests, questions, and wonderings of children over time and then planning activities that will extend, challenge, or expand those ideas. We plan a wide variety of activities for children to explore each day. Activities usually cover many developmental areas such as Art, Science, Music, Math, Movement, Language and Literacy, Cultural, and Yoga.
