Macklin Daycare Inc.

The Macklin Day Care Committee is a community based non-profit group of volunteers seeking to develop a fully licensed child care facility for the community of Macklin and area. Our town is growing steadily, and the abundance of employment in the area has attracted many young families to our community. We have identified a need for accessible, high quality, and affordable child care.
Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, positive, and educational environment for
toddler, preschool, and school aged children.
In order to become fully licensed our facility must meet very strict childcare regulations. The children’s safety, exposure to natural light, and green outdoor play space are just a few things of concern. At current day the daycare is structure is built and they are working on the interior finishing a in the next few months with a hopeful opening date in March!
We have met with and received the full support of town council and just received full approval by the Government of Saskatchewan – Ministry of Education to open up the childcare facility. With the approval we will receive a lump sum from the Government to help us with the startup costs but that will be nowhere near what the cost to build will be. Our approximate budget is $650,000 this includes all building costs and startup costs.
We are seeking help and support from individuals, families, businesses and the community as a whole. There are many ways to get involved; businesses could donate materials, individuals to volunteer their time, and monetary donations of any size. We are thankful for any support you are able to provide and your contribution helps us to get one step closer to our goal. All donations will be posted throughout the Daycare.
