The meaning of mandala comes from Sanskrit meaning “circle.” it represents wholeness, unity and harmony. Mandalas can be created by individuals to symbolize their journeys through life, and can also tell a story of where an individual has been.

The Mandala appears in all aspects of life, the celestial circles we call earth, sun, moon, as well as circles of friends, family and community and its a cosmic diagram reminding us of our relation to infinity. The goal of the mandala is to serve as a tool on our spiritual journey, and as a form of meditation for the purpose of gaining knowledge from within.
