Joeseph Franklin Clair was born Febraury 13, 1957. Born and raised on the Elsipogtog First Nation formaly Big Cove, New Brunswick. From a young boy crafting has been in Franks hands. during this time he has made traditional Mi'kmaq woven baskets. during his trek to the World Wide Indigenous gathering Frank met a woman and her handsome son. After their meeting Frank moved to the prarie city of Winnipeg, Manitoba. This is where he fell in love with the Teepee and what it represented to the people of the plains. Since developing the idea in the early 1980's Franks Teepee Lamps have come along way. Through the many transformations going from the basic teepee lamp, to having other talented artists coming and sharing their craft with to Frank being to solo artist we have today.
