Mid Island Lactation Consulting

I have been an RN since 2006 working in Labour and Delivery, during this time I also obtained my International Board Certification in Lactation Consulting. I learned a great deal about helping mothers with breastfeeding during my career. I have a special interest as well as the skills required to help mothers establish breastfeeding with babies who are preterm. I also enjoy helping mothers with twins establish breastfeeding and/or mothers who are just experiencing complications for other reasons. I still work full time as a RN, but after being asked several times by others if I would consider helping women outside of my regular job, I decided to start my own Lactation Consulting services. This is something I get a great deal of joy doing and I love being able to help mothers during this special time. I am also a mother of five children and I know breastfeeding does not always go as planned. I will see mothers prenatally, postpartum in hospital as a private LC and will do home visits.
