Mindful Nutrition empowers people to build healthy, rewarding relationships with food through mindful eating.

Mindfulness has been shown to improve one's sense of self-control around food, reduce emotional overeating and/or binge eating, and help maintain healthy eating patterns. Over time, these changes can lead to improved weight management, and improved blood sugar control for people with type 2 diabetes.

Mindful eating involves bringing kind, curious, non-judgemental awareness to the foods you are eating, as well as any thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations that arise. Anyone can learn mindful eating, regardless of spiritual or religious beliefs.

Cathy Wang is a registered dietitian in Vancouver, BC. She graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree with a major in Dietetics from the University of British Columbia. Cathy first learned mindfulness and mindful eating to help overcome her own disordered eating patterns. Motivated by the desire to help others who are struggling with binge eating and/or emotional overeating, Cathy became a certified Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT) instructor. As an amateur cook, she loves to create and share tasty and (mostly) healthy recipes.
