Montana Hammer Knives was developed in 2012 after the death of the makers brother Bridger W. Holt. Bridger whom served in the U.S. Army 1st cavalry in Iraq was coined "The Montana Hammer" by fellow soldiers. In an attempt to honor Bridger's adventurous life, maker L.Holt took up the craft of bladesmithing, a subject Bridger spoke of often in his indecision of ever purchasing his custom knife. His life ended before he had the chance to decide on a maker. "he never chose a particular maker, thats how bridger was, he did his homework and thought for a long time before he bought anything. I like to think i am fullfilling that for him. These are my brothers knives. - L. Holt
