Welcome to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada - Alberta & Northwest Territories Division Facebook page. This is a safe space for respectful and honest dialogue and support. We strive to maintain an atmosphere of free and open conversation where constructive discussion is welcomed.

We reserve the right to remove questionable comments, including (but not limited to):

Personal attacks targeted to members of this community, MS Society staff, and/or to the MS Society of Canada (including but not limited to) bullying, intimidation, harassment and/or accusation)
Hateful, threatening commentary or that which incites violence
Debate that becomes argumentative and unconstructive
Unsubstantiated allegations about the MS Society
Unsolicited bulk or repeat messages (spam or flooding)
Comments which promote or sell healthcare products, services, drugs or vitamins
Comments which promote false claims about multiple sclerosis and/or products/services related to treatment of MS
Violations of Facebook's Statement of Rights and Responsibilities
Violations of Facebook's Statement of Rights and Responsibilities should be reported to Facebook through their Flag and Report tools
Private Facebook messages and/or personal email correspondence between MS Society staff, and/or researchers, volunteers and members of this community should not be reposted here and will be removed.

This is to protect privacy.

It is appropriate and acceptable for MS Society staff and volunteers to engage on the MS Society of Canada (national office) Facebook page by clicking the 'Like' or 'Share' features. Similarly, staff and/or volunteers can comment and participate in the conversation so long as they clearly identify their relationship to the MS Society.

The MS Society reserves the right to ban individuals at its discretion. We reserve the right to remove anyone who is contributing to an environment of discord or negativity and/or detracts others from sharing their stories or comments in an environment of respect and dignity.

Creating a duplicate Facebook account or participating under a different identity violates Facebook Community Standards and will be reported. The user account will also be banned from participating on the MS Society of Canada Facebook page.

Please be respectful and civil to other community members, even if you disagree with them.
