Owner Pat has created a shopping oasis in an area where more retail was definitely needed. Pat used to hear women talk about going out of town to shop for the latest fashions or an outfit for that special occasion. She knew they were keen to support local businesses. Her fashion training and 30+ years experience in the industry teamed up with her entrepreneurial spirit to look at how she could fill the demand for the sophisticated 30+ woman.

Four things were essential to Pat when she was envisioning Muse. An outstanding design, excellent customer service, stylish, top quality fashions, and affordability. After several months of planning, renovations and decorating, Muse opened in March 2013. Pat’s high standards are immediately visible when you step into her shop. She had a clear vision of what she wanted. Muse is warm and inviting. It’s a relaxing place to pick out a special outfit with a scarf or a handbag to match. There are wonderful splashes of colour in the visual merchandising and displays of Muse. Muse presents a variety of looks that reflect Pat’s philosophy... There is no age limit on looking fashionable!


Nestje Home Décor & Gifts

In Nestje, you can find beautiful things for your home including Paris-inspired items, framed prints, furniture and wine racks in reclaimed wood, and antique beds complete with bedding and pillows. If you’re looking for a gift for a special friend’s birthday or anniversary, you’ll find it here too. Also available is a line of bracelets purchased from an artist in Columbia who started his business with a micro-loan from Opportunity International (OI). Pat donates 100% of the profits back to OI. For the busy woman who loves to pamper herself, Pat has personally selected bath and beauty products from the Thymes Fragrance Studio.
The name Nestje means ‘little nest’ in Dutch. Pat selected Nestje because it seemed very appropriate because it is a home décor and gift store and also because of the large Dutch community in the Niagara area.
