They are located on Fawn Lake in the Muskokas, between Bracebridge and Huntsville in beautiful Port Sydney (approx 2 hours north of Toronto). One has four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, mudroom with washer and dryer, open concept kitchen and family room with satellite television in main room and upstairs family room.
It can sleep 12 (8 twin beds & 2 queen beds). Ideal for two families. The other cottage has 6 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, family room, reading room and large games room. Internet, cleaning service available (self maintained) and taxes included. Pricing 4 bedroom $2400.00/week during the summer months (mid June-mid Sept), $600.00/weekend during low season (fall & Spring) $750.00/weekend in the winter.$2000.00/week mid Sept-mid June. Holiday weekends/Weeks are subject to more. Pricing 6 bedroom $4800.00/week during the summer months (mid June-mid Sept), $1200.00/weekend during low season (fall & Spring) $1500.00/weekend in the winter.$2400.00/week mid Sept-mid June. Holiday weekends/Weeks are subject to more. subject to change. A $500.00 deposit is due to hold your week (non-refundable should you decide to cancel) and the remaining balance is due two months prior to your arrival date. Security deposit required at time of bookings. No Pets allowed No smoking. Water filtration system built into the kitchen sink.

The private beach is located directly across the road from the cottage, with Kayak, a Canoe and life jackets for your use.

FAQ:
What is the check-in time? Check out?

Weekly rentals Saturday to Saturday Check-in is at 4pm and check-out is 10am.
Spring/Fall Weekend/weeks can be flexible with check-in/check-out times.

Is there a highchair or any playpens available for our use?
No, there is not a highchair or playpens. We do have plastic plates, bowls and cups.

Is propane for the BBQ included in our cost?
Yes it is, but you have to make sure you turn it OFF after every use or you will lose your deposit of $500.00. The tank costs $1500.00 to fill.

Should we bring bottled water?
4 bedroom. There is no need to bring water as we have a purification reverse osmosis water filtration system located at the kitchen sink. This should be used for drinking water.
6 bedroom. We recommend bottled water as we have not installed a water system as of yet.

Cleaning Supplies & House Keeping:
There is a vacuum in the mud room for your use, as well as cleaning products above the fridge if needed. Although a cleaning service is included on the day you leave, we ask that you start the washer with the bath mats from both bathrooms and load the dishwasher and turn it on before you leave. Please do not leave any dirty dishes around the cottage or in the sink. We also ask that you keep the beachfront clean and dish/glass free. Please keep the cottage neat and tidy. We have provided a broom. And other cleaning supplies. Any excess cleaning required will be charged to you above and beyond a regular house keeping call. Please take home your left over food (fridge freezer and cupboards)

Noise and Common Courtesies:
Please keep in mind that you are in a cottage community. Please be respectful of neighbors and keep noise to a minimum.

Fire Pit:
Please make sure that you follow Muskoka Fire regulations. Fires are only allowed in the evenings and should be kept to 2 feet. Please have water available and put out the fire entirely before going to bed. Depending on if the season is wet or dry fires may not be allowed as per the District of Muskoka and local fire department. Please call 1-877-847-1577 for burning information. This is a must!

When is Garbage Pick-up?
Garbage is picked up on Thursdays. Please put it in the container by the side of the road before the scheduled day. The cleaning service will take the rest with them. There is no recycling service up here. You are free to take it home with you should you choose. Do not leave food out doors as this will attract wildlife especially at night. 6 bedroom please separate garbage from recycling. Separate empties, cardboard and plastics.

Coffee maker?
There is a Keurig one-cup coffee maker. Bring your own coffee to use in the single scoop refillable filter or bring some Keurig k-kups. We have some coffee on site until you buy your own.


What do you suggest we bring?
• Fitted Sheets, pillows, sleeping bags. There are two queen beds and 8 single beds.
• Dish Clothes and drying up clothes.
• Beach towels, bath towels & hand towels.
• Suntan lotion and insect spray
• shampoo, conditioner, toiletries
• Aluminum foil, siran wrap, zip lock bags, water shoes, bounce, paper towels
• Firewood - for the outdoor fire pit
- during the spring/fall/winter seasons we provide enough to start you off and you can purchase some from the General Store
• Fishing equipment and other sundry toys
• Cell phone and/or calling card
• Laptop (if desired)
- wireless internet is available.
•Additional Nintendo Playstation games (two remotes and a few games provided in the upstairs family room).
•Each of the kids rooms have DVD players. We suggest bringing movies for your little ones.

What are neat things to do while up at the cottage?

Warm Weather Activities:
• Spend some time down by the beach. The beach is located directly across the road from the cottage. Fawn Lake is one of the smaller lakes in the Muskokas and very shallow and great for children.

• Canoeing. please wear lifejackets provided.

• Kayaking. We have life jackets, two adult Kayaks available for you to use as well as three children Kayaks that can hold up to 150 pounds.

• Enjoy some fishing - Fawn lake is known for smallmouth bass, largemouth bass
Fawn Lake located right beside Buck Lake and is also fed by the Kashe River which trickles from the north not far from the Muskoka River.
•Do some hiking/walking - find out more about it on the Ontario Trails Map website.

•Take a drive to Bracebridge (about 10 minutes away) to see some Waterfalls.

•High Falls water park in Bracebridge

• Vist Eagle Crest Ariel Park, where you can go for a night climb, zipline through the forest, monkey walks and more!

•Boat around Fawn Lake - use the supplied canoe at the cottage or bring your own boat! You can launch your boat in the water just a kilometer down the road.

•Go to the drive-in at the Muskoka Drive-in Theatre!

•Eat a fantastic burger at Webers "world famous" burgers (about a 25 minute drive from the cottage)

•Go to the "Zoo" - Muskoka Wildlife Centre
•Take a boat cruise around one of the lakes - The Segwun (Gravenhurst), Lady Muskoka cruises (Bracebridge)

•Go to "Santa's Village" family entertainment park. Great stuff to do including a fairground with rides, go-karts, batting cage, mini-golf, laser tag, and arcade.

•Visit one of the farmer's markets - the Gravenhurst market, the Bracebridge market or the Mariposa Market in Orillia
