More about My Southern Charms

Hi there. My name is Lynn Lees and I am the owner of My Southern Charms. I have had my hands in a few pots throughout my life. I was born in Georgia, married at 18 and moved to California as an Air Force Wife. I spent the next 20+ years moving around the US and eventually settled in Florida, where I graduated from Florida State University with a B.S in Education about 2 weeks before my daughter, Krista, graduated from high school. After a few years as a single gal, I married my Canadian husband, Kevin and headed north to Alberta, Canada where I had a successful kid’s party business. After a while, I decided that it was just getting to be too much to transport all of the supplies back and forth to my clients homes so I decided to look for something else. I tried a MLM company but it just didn’t suit my needs. Because my husband and I spend time in both countries, I needed a business I could easily operate in the US and in Canada. After much thought and research I decided to start my own business. I am not a flashy person but I love jewelry. What woman doesn’t? So I spent a lot of time looking around and found some great jewelry suppliers, took out a business loan and here I am - the owner of "My Southern Charms!”

Charm bracelets have always held a special place in my heart. When I was a little girl, my grandmother gave me a charm bracelet with 3 or 4 charms on it. I was the first grandchild and I called her “Babe” and the name stuck. All of her grandchildren called her Babe. My grandfather was called “Boy.” Again, that was my doing. :D For special occasions, Babe would add charms to my bracelet. I loved that bracelet and wore it with pride for many years but when I became an adult, I stopped wearing it. It sat in my jewelry box and each time I opened it, it would bring back memories of Babe. Babe has been gone for many years now, and Boy joined her several years ago amd I miss them dearly.

Charm bracelets were really “in” back in the 70s when I was a girl but people stopped wearing them. Now, charm bracelets are back “IN” but with a more sophisticated look and adding charms is much easier than the old style bracelets. You can easily slide beads on and change them out as your mood changes. You can customize them to match your clothes, to match the seasons or to support your favorite sports team!
