My Testimony
Born April 18th, 1990 and raised in Willoughby, Ohio,
Allen Parsons was in over his head after the hurtful divorce of his parents, due to his fathers severe alcoholism. This left him struggling as an adolescent. By the age of 15, he became rebellious against authority and got involved with using and selling drugs. After turning to the "street life" as a release from his daily anxieties, Allen thought he found all the answers between money, narcotics, and friends but found himself in multiple jail cells and treatment facilities. After having a child at the age of 19, life became a little more serious, but by this time his addiction had progressed drastically and he began using opiates and heroin. After a few arrests due to dealing and possession, his most pivotal moment was on Feb 2nd, 2011, when he hit rock bottom. His mom found him on the floor clinging to life from a heroin overdose.
After being rushed to the emergency room and by the grace of God surviving, he received a call from his long time Christian friend Brandon Reik, who started to minister and speak life into him. Allen battled back and forth for the next several months but eventually it led to the greatest decision he would ever make. He surrendered his will and his life into the graceful and merciful hands of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This led to Allen's deliverance from his addiction and his past lifestyle, and a beautiful new way of living had taken its place. This was the day that PastorParsons was birthed and his new life walking with God began.
Now dedicated to Jesus, his vision is to inspire others to overcome their addictions. He is now an active member in his church, (Life Point Church, Mentor, Ohio), an active member in a 12 Step based program, an aspiring pastor, hip hop artist, and motivational speaker that leads men and women to Christ and their calling toward a better life. His lifelong passion for hip hop infused into his ministry which started his mission to spread the word of God and help steer others away from their addictions. This prompted his #1 song “Let’s Change”, which is used in conjunction with the Lake County Ohio's Fight Against Heroin group and movement. Currently working together on his first video release, this song is looking to help bridge the gap in adolescents and adults struggling with an addictive way of life and negative escapes. There IS HOPE and PastorParsons is dedicated to helping those make a change towards a brighter future!
