Imagine waking up every morning with perfectly designed eyebrows; Not needing to worry about filling them in for bold spots or drawing them in because they're not visible at all.

Microstroking, also commonly known as microblading and semi-permanent make-up, is a relatively new technique for eyebrow tattooing. Using a manual handtool, I draw a pattern of lines that mimic one's own hair growth pattern while implanting pigment simultaneously. The result is a very natural looking brow, often difficult to detect that it is in fact, a tattoo.

During your appointment, your brows will be shaped and drawn to your approval. I do not use stencils and each brow is custom designed to enhance your features according to your facial proportions and your desired overall shape. Once you are happy with the shape, the area will be numb, and I will begin the procedure. This first appointment takes approximately two hours from start to finish, and a another follow-up visit is schedule 4-8 weeks later for touch-ups, if needed. You will be sent home with after care instructions and products, which you must follow diligently to ensure the best healed results possible.

Please note, that within the following few days after the initial procedure, your brows will appear very dark. This is normal and part of the healing process. You must keep the area as clean as possible to avoid infections. This also means you must not apply makeup to your brows until they are fully healed. You will also need to keep your brows from prolonged exposure to water, such as showering, swimming, or even working out for the first 7-10 days. Failure to follow after care instructions will result in blotchy healed results.


PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT:

To ensure best results, make sure your health is in good condition. Get enough rest and eat well.
24 hours before and after your microstroking appointment: avoid alcohol and aspirin/ibuprofen.

On the day of your appointment: avoid caffeine and exercise. Wash your hair in the morning as you will need to avoid the shower for several days. Baths are recommended.

Pigments during microstroking are not implanted as deep into the skin as a traditional tattoo, or even micropigmentation with an electric permanent makeup device. This allows for healed results of very fine, thin, and crisp hair lines, however, results do not last as long as traditional methods. A colour boost is required usually between 18-24 months. A touch-up may be required at 12 months or sooner for oily-skinned clients, those who tan often, or often expose brow area to certain chemicals (facial peels, chlorine, anti-aging products, etc.). Pigment retention varies depending on skin type, age, aftercare, immune system, medications, certain chemicals, and the type of pigment used.

We use only the best quality, Israel made, pigments that heal true to colour. All materials used during each and every appointment (including pre-sterilized blades) are 100% disposable. We strictly adhere to Toronto Public Health guidelines for proper infection control practices.
