Hi, I'm Coach Skene and I am a Strength Coach at Synergy Wellness and Performance in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. I became a strength coach because I like helping people get healthy so they can live longer and enjoy life more. So they can get that spark back in their eyes and really start tearing up life instead of constantly feelings sad and lonely. So that's what I want to help you do.
My Credentials: I have a Bachelors degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Windsor and I am a Certified Personal Training Specialist through Can-Fit-Pro.
My Experience: I was taught elite training techniques from a former member of the USA Track and Field and Bobsled national Teams. This individual was also the head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Los Angeles Kings in the NHL. Moreover, I have observed and assisted with the training of Olympic Gold and Silver Medalists, a Minor League Detroit Tigers Baseball prospect, Michigan State Spartan Division-one football players (for their NFL combine training), AAA hockey players, and elite high school and elementary school athletes. I have also helped non-athletes ranging in age from mid-twenties to early seventies get healthier and reach their personal health and fitness goals. So, all of this experience has morphed into my new goal of helping people get healthier while reaching their specific goals, by teaching them how to exercise, eat, de-stress, and sleep in a way that will make them as healthy as possible while achieving their goals. So they can enjoy the process of achieving those goals, instead of waiting to be happy until after the goals are achieved. The enjoyment should occur continuously during the process of achieving those goals, because of the person that comes out of that process; instead of waiting until the goals are complete to be happy.
Services: One-on-one training and Small Group training (four participants per session)
Location: Synergy Wellness and Performance 360 Eugenie Street, Unit 208, N8X2Y1
Focus of training sessions: The sessions are designed to get you to your goals safely and quickly, using flexibility training, strength training, and cardiovascular conditioning.
How is the Small Group training different from a boot camp? Because you receive a training program designed specifically for you based on your needs and goals gathered during our initial assessment. Also, the small group size of four participants in our semi-private classes allows for far more one-on-one coaching than you get in a typical boot camp which has around ten participants. More one-on-one coaching means your form will always be corrected, making your semi-private training sessions much more safe and effective than any boot camp.
