FRESH Painters

FRESHOddJobs was started in order to fill three major holes that Michael Holley noticed in the home protection and beautification industry.

Michael had worked for his sister's painting business in Sarnia for two years before starting his own student painting business in Sarnia for one year, and then moving to Kingston and running a painting business there for two years. Once he graduated from Queen's University, he moved to Toronto and ran a professional painting company called Pro Works Painters (PWP) for almost two years.

During all of these years, Michael noticed three major holes in the painting industry. First was the long wait times in order for the client's project to be started. When Michael was running his professional painting business in Toronto, he often had a three to four month wait list, which often annoyed clients who wanted their projects done as soon as possible. Especially for clients who were in a rush to get their house painted (people selling their homes, real estate agents, landlords, home stagers, etc.) this caused a major issue.

The second issue was that most reputable contractors didn't want to take on smaller projects, leaving home owners scrambling to find someone to do their small but important projects. Most contractors do not like the instability and inefficiency of smaller projects (a single bedroom, a sole front door, a small deck, etc.). Most contractors would rather go for the larger projects that will keep them busier longer, have them move around less, and provide them more income stability. They do not want a list of small projects to do where they need to move around a great deal in order to make ends meet.

This causes an issue for homeowners who often don't need their entire house worked on, but often just have small projects that they are too busy to do themselves and that they want someone who knows what they are doing to come and do for them in a short period of time.

Finally the third issue that Michael noticed was that home owners often became quite frustrated and overwhelmed when trying to deal with so many different contractors, often for many small projects. Oftentimes homeowners don't have the TIME, energy or money to deal with several different contractors to get theiir variety of projects done, This led to a huge waste of TIME on the part of the home owner, as well as often costing more money due to the inefficiency of using so many different contractors.

As a result, Michael decided to start FRESHOddJobs. #FRESH is the QUICKEST way to make your home look clean, #FRESH and beautiful again! #FRESH's guarantee is that we will have the SHORTEST time between when someone reaches out for help and when we actually START working on their project. Our goal is to be able to reach someone's contact info, set up and perform an estimate for them within 48 hours, and be able to start their project within 36 hours of receiving their go ahead. This means that a client can decide they want a certain project done and reach out Monday night, have an estimate done within the next two days, and have the project started by Thurs or Fri! Depending on their project this means that their project could be completed THE SAME WEEK as they decided to do it!
