The Sawridge Group of Companies was founded by the Sawridge Cree First Nation of Slave Lake, Alberta. The first enterprise was the construction of a hotel at Sawridge’s ancestral home, Slave Lake, in 1972. Ten years later in 1982, a parcel of land was acquired from Parks Canada and the tradition continued with the construction of a second hotel in Jasper National Park; Sawridge Inn and Conference Centre Jasper. Today, the Sawridge Group of Companies consists of various real estate holdings, land developments, retail and service businesses and an additional three hotels: Sawridge Inn and Conference Centre Peace River, Sawridge Inn and Conference Centre Edmonton and our newest property Best Western Plus Sawridge Suites located in Fort McMurray.
