Scarf Lady by Jan Jaworsky

Based in Waterloo, Ontario, ScarfLady handcrafts women's fashion accessories using different kinds of metallic yarns. Jan's pastime has always involved designing and making clothes and accessories and the GemLace by ScarfLady evolved from designs she created initially to sell for fundraising for her two boys' hockey teams.

When Jan began experimenting with novelty yarns in 2009, she was motivated to design a lady’s fashion accessory that was not hot like a scarf and not heavy like chunky jewelry. Jan's current fashion scarf collection leverages metallic yarns from Europe and are often thought to be beaded.
Establishing ScarfLady in 2012, Jan leveraged her former 20-year career of marketing and trade show experience in the high-tech industry.
