Scenic Ridge Bed & Breakfast in Vernon, BC

Since 2003 we have enjoyed hosting our friends and family at our summer home in magnificent Vernon, British Columbia, Canada in the Thompson Okanagan.

Our private, one acre home with pool, offers incredible panoramic views of beautiful Lake Okanagan and has proven to be the perfect place to unwind, relax and entertain.

Never lost for activities to do we have wonderful memories golfing, wine-tasting at some of the best wineries in BC, boating, hiking, and watching in amazement as hummingbirds, baldheaded eagles, quails, and deer go by as we unwind outdoors. Evenings comprised of dinners in one of the many excellent restaurants in Vernon, or maybe a local theatre production finished off by snuggling up by the outdoor brick fireplace and listening to our guests utter the same familiar revelation …….‘This place is magical. You have to open a bed and breakfast’!

Now retired after managing my own Corporate Events business while travelling throughout North America enjoying some of the best hotels and resorts you could fathom, Tom and I took our friends and family’s advice to heart and realized our dream has always been to share this lovely property with others.

WELCOME TO SCENIC RIDGE BED & BREAKFAST

Built in 1988 on an acre of property overlooking beautiful Lake Okanagan, our Tutor style home has a casual, peaceful atmosphere. The front entrance is reminiscent of an English walkway – green ivy climbs the stone wall, while pots of geraniums adorn the path. The backyard welcomes you with a water feature among a garden of lavender and sage, and just beyond that you will discover the in-ground swimming pool that overlooks beautiful Lake Okanagan.

Scenic Ridge Bed & Breakfast offers you two lovely choices in accommodations: the LAKEVIEW SUITE and the HUMMINGBIRD NEST. Both bedrooms are individually and tastefully decorated with private bathrooms, comfortable beds and soft cotton linens.

For your pleasure a home-cooked, FULL BREAKFAST is served daily in the dining room.

There is a private LOUNGE with adjoining balcony and incredible views of Lake Okanagan. In the Lounge we offer complimentary Keurig coffee & tea, bottle water, free WI-FI, mini-fridge and access to a computer and printer.

Adjacent to the Lounge is a cozy SITTING ROOM with a large screen TV, books and games that also has an adjoining balcony overlooking the pool and lake.

Our comfortable relaxing Bedrooms, Lounge and Sitting Room are on a separate, private guest floor.

Outdoors enjoy the deck brick fireplace, lavender and sage gardens with water feature, hummingbird and bird feeders galore, hammock, swing, pool bar, gas bbq, kitchen terrace, and a private swimming pool all on the hillside overlooking magnificent Lake Okanagan

ROOMS & RATES

Scenic Ridge is a private, adults-only Bed & Breakfast just 15 minutes from the town of Vernon. BC. All room prices include full breakfast, Lounge and Sitting Room access, and use of outdoor gas barbeque and swimming pool. Minimum two night stay. Closed in the winter months.

LAKEVIEW SUITE
The Lakeview Suite has a deluxe queen sleigh-bed, stone gas fireplace, and private balcony with a glorious view of beautiful Lake Okanagan. Cozy up in bed with a down filled duvet or sit by the fire in one of the two wing-back chairs and enjoy a beverage or good book. The ensuite bathroom comes with all the essentials complete with a walk-up Jacuzzi whirlpool tub and separate shower stall. Alarm clock with Blue Tooth phone charging station, ceiling fan, bathrobes, separate dressing area, hair dryer and an amenities basket all provided for your comfort. This is an outstanding, large, very private room for two. The Lakeview Suite rate is based on a maximum of 2 persons/room (all taxes included). Two night minimum stay.

HUMMINGBIRD NEST
The Hummingbird Nest features a soft and comfy queen bed, lots of closet space and a reading/sitting area. Your adjacent, private bathroom has an extra deep whirlpool Jacuzzi tub with shower wand. Alarm clock with Blue Tooth phone charging station, bathrobes, hair dryer and an amenities basket are provided for your comfort This is a beautiful room for two travellers. The Hummingbird Nest room rate is based on 2 persons/room (all taxes included). Two night minimum stay.

METHOD OF PAYMENT:
Scenic Ridge Bed & Breakfast accepts payment via MasterCard, Visa, Traveler's cheques or cash.
A valid credit card is required to confirm the reservation. Half the reservation fee as deposit is required at the time of booking. If you need to cancel please give us notification 7 days prior to your arrival and your deposit will be returned. No notification 2 days prior, Non-arrivals (the day of) or early departures will not receive a refund. 100% of the room rate will be charged to the credit card.

CHECK IN/CHECK OUT:
Check in 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and departures by 11:00 am the following day. Times are flexible; just give us a call – alternate times can be arranged.


AMENTITIES

A full BREAKFAST is served daily in the dining room. Please let us know when booking if you have any dietary needs, and/or allergies. We will do our best to accommodate you.

Additional amenities include a Lounge area for working on your computer or playing cards, and a cozy Sitting Room with a 32" screen TV, DVD’s and books. The Lounge has a balcony for early morning coffee or a late evening drink. Both bedrooms have their own private, designated balcony with wonderful views of Lake Okanagan. Outdoors enjoy the deck brick fireplace, lavender and sage gardens with water feature, hummingbird and bird feeders galore, pool bar, gas barbeque and private swimming pool all on the hillside overlooking beautiful Lake Okanagan in magnificent Vernon, British Columbia in the Thompson Okanagan.

If you need assistance with anything, simply ask. Brenda is an experienced (retired) Corporate Event Planner! We offer our guests full Concierge Service securing restaurant reservations, sightseeing tours and guiding you on any activity you wish to experience during your stay. Feel free to inform us of the purpose of your trip, in advance of your trip, and we'll recommend and guide you on some of the best places in the area to make your time with us unforgettable.

We also have a large supply of local restaurant menus and sight-seeing information on-sight to assist you, plus Tom is a Geoscientist and he loves to share his knowledge of rock formations and the topography.

MAP & DIRECTIONS
From Hwy #97 to Vernon, turn at the stoplight at the corner of Hwy 97 & 25th Ave and go south.
Follow 25th Ave then turn RIGHT onto Tronson Road. Still on Tronson Road, turn right at Kin Beach and follow Tronson Road around the lake and up the mountain.

Scenic Ridge Estates is the first gated community on the left hand side as you travel up the mountain.
