WHAT IS REIKI AND HOW CAN IT HELP ME?

Literally translated Reiki means Universal Life Force (or energy). It is of Japanese origin, developed by Mikao Usui. Otherwise known as ‘Hands on Healing’. The Reiki practitioner channels Reiki to raise the energy vibration within the body in order to help stimulate the body’s natural healing responses. A Reiki treatment takes place with the client laying comfortably, fully clothed on a massage table while the practitioner is using a series of hand positions on or slightly above the body. Reiki is commonly used as rest and relaxation therapy and can improve sleep as well as help to restore physical and emotional well-being.
