Shekinah Stables

In 2013 Janet started volunteering at Mount Traber Bible Camp, working with the horses and the leaders that worked at the barn. A month later she asked Nancy to come ride. In September that year we started talking about buying a place together and supporting the camp by taking horses home for training and winter relief. Almost two years later that dream has become a reality. It hasn't been a straight road but serving God invariably is not usually easy. In the end he gave us the perfect, house, barn and property. We give God all the credit and all the glory in this, it couldn't have happened with out him. We chose the stable name Shekinah because it means God's dwelling place or where God dwells. We aim to serve God through serving at and with Mt Traber. We want to reach and develop our young equine leaders at the camp while developing the quality of the horses used at the camp in the summer and all year round.
