As a specialist in Craniosacral Therapy, Shivani uses light, therapeutic touch to enhance the body’s self-healing and self-regulating abilities. Her focus resides in specialized treatment of the nervous system to help manage chronic pain and mental health conditions such as, depression, anxiety, eating disorders and ADHD.
She also specializes in the treatment of Temporal-mandibular Joint Dysfunction (jaw pain), where she works closely with referring physicians, dentists and oral surgeons. She provides treatment for chronic TMJ sufferers and post-surgical patients in the dental community.
Shivani’s undergraduate studies at Simon Fraser University, focused on Cell and Molecular Biology, which presented her with a new gaze on life at the molecular level and inspired her with an appreciation for life’s complexity and synergy. This perspective complements her long held belief in understanding the origin or foundation of something before treating it as a whole.
Following her post graduate training at Utopia Academy in Massage and Rehabilitation Therapy in Vancouver, Canada, Shivani continued her studies in meditation and yoga in Rishikesh, India. This has allowed her to bridge her medical training with Eastern healing practices and thus, broadening the healing perspective for each patient.
