Under the direction of Fire Chief Kevin Theriault, we are a small volunteer fire department in beautiful Southwestern New Brunswick. We have one paid staff (Fire Chief) and approximately 24 paid-on-call personnel. We operate out of one Station with a fleet of two main pumpers, one pumper-tanker, one mini-pumper/rescue truck, a utility truck for hauling portable pumping equipment, a 14' Zodiac for lake and coastal rescue, and a Yahama ATV and an Argo for remote rescue and wildland firefighting.
Fire supression, fire prevention and fire investigation are priorities of the Department, but our services are not limited to just those. Wildland firefighting, coastal & lake water rescue and high angle rescue are some other services we offer, along with support, when requested, from the RCMP, Ambulance New Brunswick and Charlotte County Ground Search & Rescue.
The Department's personnel is well trained, all having to complete the Level I Firefighter course as a requesite for full service. The Department also offers auto extrication services for motor vehicle collisions and has a brand new (2008) set of Hurst Jaws of Life purchased through Code 4 Fire & Rescue.
