St. James Anglican Church, Channel Port aux Basques, NL

Every sunday the community gathers for worship:
8:30am, Holy Eucharist, Book of Common Prayer
10:00am, Holy Eucharist, Book of Alternative Service.
Occasionally we have special evening services of Prayer and Praise, with music led by the St. James praise band.
Our youth ministry is very active, we have 'Godly Play' for pre-school to grade 6, and a 2-year confirmation program, Youth Alpha for our first years and we run the Diocesan Program 'Grow in the Spirit' for our yr2 confirmation . We also have a youth choir, and servers group, and our confirmation class also serve in other areas of worship as readers, sides persons and greeters, and our older children serve as Godly Play helpers.
We have a very active ACW and Alter Guild, as will as a weekly biblestudy and two prayer groups that meet regularly each week. We also host special seasonal activites, as quiet days and weekly retreat days, focusing on a theme for the season. ST. James has one full-time clergy, the Revd. Canon Hannah Dicks, Priest and Rector, she has been with the parish since May 1st. 2010.
