As we age our feet become an issue,
I find that Seniors have difficulty caring for their
own feet.
Many Senior are walking with toenails
that are entirely too long to be comfortable in a shoe.
This can lead to bruising at the cuticle from constant pressure,
to causing ingrown toenails that can lead to a lot of
foot pain and possible knee, hip and back pain.
Plus build up of debris under the nails can cause a really bad odor.
What I've found is that for a variety of reasons like joint pain, stiffness,
flexibility, arthritis, and nail thickness are obstacles for properly
maintaining their feet. The benefits of having proper foot care for Seniors
cannot be overstated.
