Success Tutorial School

Since 1992, we have been offering tutorial services to students from the Greater Toronto Area including Scarborough, Richmond Hill and Markham. With over 20 years of expertise in the private tutoring industry, our students receive the confidence and skills to meet the challenges of their academic endeavors. At STS, success is the standard our students enjoy. Engaging students equals higher academic achievement. Our speciality is in providing small group tutorial classes for students from Grades 1 to 12. All subjects in STS are taught according to the current Ontario Curriculum. We offer tutoring in the major academic subjects: Mathematics, English, Science and French. In addition, we provide special programs such as Creative and Essay Writing Workshops, Preparation Courses for The Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) and the EQAO 9 Assessment of Mathematics. We also offer a variety of Summer Programs and Summer Accelerated Courses for elementary and secondary school students, respectively.

Our learning materials are well written with ample examples to be explained by tutors. For Mathematics and Sciences, great emphasis is laid upon problem solving skills. For English and French, we focus on grammar, reading, writing, spelling and vocabulary. Students are given exercises during class and assignments for practice at home.
Teachers at STS are all highly educated professionals who come from a variety of academic disciplines. Our teachers' qualifications include: University / College professors or lecturers, University / College teaching assistants, Ontario secondary / elementary school teachers, individuals pursuing Ontario teaching certificates and individuals pursuing their postgraduate degrees.
To maximize learning results, all levels of students are given 15 minute quizzes at the beginning of each class. Each quiz is marked and corrected to ensure students understand what they have learned from the previous lesson. A final examination is also given to students to evaluate their knowledge on the topics covered throughout the course. A student is given a STS certificate if he or she passes the final examination and has an attendance record of 75% or above.
