SUNIA

SUNIA (the Seminar on the United Nations and International Affairs) is a summer camp for High School students that is held each August at the Goldeye Centre near Nordegg, AB. Approximately 60 students attend each session (Week A and B annually) and participate in activities including a mock UN Security Council. We take full advantage of our location in the Canadian Rockies by going on two hikes throughout the week as well as enjoying the Goldeye Lake by swimming and canoeing. SUNIA is proud to host two guest speakers from the United Nations Headquarters in New York as well as one from the Canadian Department of National Defense. This makes our programme truly unique as students are given the opportunity to interact with and learn from these officials in an informal setting.
